Kalia Yojana Status & New List (Odisha)

You check the portal, enter your Aadhaar number, and the screen says “Payment Released.” Three weeks pass. The bank passbook still shows nothing. Or worse—your name has vanished from the list entirely, and the block office queue stretches past lunch. If either of these sounds familiar, the problem is almost certainly not with your eligibility. It is with the platform you are checking.

KALIA, once Odisha’s flagship farmer support programme, now runs under a different name and a different portal. The old kalia.odisha.gov.in address still circulates in WhatsApp forwards and cached search results, but current beneficiary data flows through the CM Kisan Yojana system. This guide covers where to check your Kalia Yojana status today, how to read the Kalia Yojana new list, and what to do when a payment is released but never arrives.

What Changed: KALIA to CM Kisan Yojana

KALIA launched in 2018 to support small and marginal farmers, landless agricultural households, and vulnerable cultivators. For several years it ran as a standalone scheme with its own dedicated portal. From the 2025-26 cycle, the Odisha government restructured it into CM Kisan Yojana .

This was not a simple rebranding. The payment structure was revised. Under CM Kisan, small and marginal farmers typically receive ₹4,000 per year in two instalments, while landless agricultural households receive ₹12,500 per year in three instalments . Older KALIA guides still quote different figures and timelines. If you are planning your finances around a three-year-old article, the numbers are likely outdated.

The practical consequence: the legacy kalia.odisha.gov.in portal may still exist for historical records, but current payment and beneficiary data now flows through the Krushak Odisha portal (krushak.odisha.gov.in) for registration and services, and the CM Kisan portal (cmkportal.odisha.gov.in) for beneficiary status and payment tracking .

How to Check Your Kalia Yojana Status Online

Before you start, keep your Aadhaar number, registered mobile, and Farmer ID or KALIA ID (if you have one from the earlier scheme) within reach. You will need at least two of these to look up your record.

  1. Open the correct portal. Go to krushak.odisha.gov.in or cmkportal.odisha.gov.in. Avoid third-party sites that promise a “direct link”—they often mirror outdated data or harvest your Aadhaar number.
  2. Find the status option. Look for a link labelled “Beneficiary Status” or “Payment Status” on the homepage.
  3. Enter your details. The portal will ask for your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, or Farmer ID / KALIA ID .
  4. Complete verification. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile, or the captcha code shown on screen.
  5. Read the result. The portal displays your beneficiary status—Active, Pending Verification, or Not Found—along with payment history and linked bank details .

Two pitfalls worth knowing. First, the OTP only arrives if your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar. If nothing comes within two minutes, do not keep clicking “Resend”—check your Aadhaar linking status instead. Second, the portal session times out quickly. Have your details written down before you start, or you may find yourself logged out mid-entry.

If the portal shows your name as active but no payment has arrived, the issue is usually e-KYC or bank seeding, covered below.

Reading the Kalia Yojana New List (Beneficiary List)

Many farmers prefer to see their name directly on the official beneficiary list rather than relying on a status lookup. The current list is available on the CM Kisan portal, organised by district and block:

  1. Open the CM Kisan portal.
  2. Select “Beneficiary List” or “District-wise List.”
  3. Choose your District, then Block, then Gram Panchayat from the dropdowns .
  4. View or download the list for your village and search for your name.

The list is updated periodically as verification drives and new inclusions are processed. If your name is missing, it does not automatically mean permanent exclusion. More often, it points to a pending verification or a data discrepancy—a misspelt name, an old Aadhaar number, or a bank account that has since changed.

Why e-KYC Blocks Payments

Incomplete e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer—a digital identity verification process) is the single most common reason payments fail under the current system. e-KYC is mandatory for every beneficiary. Even if your name appears on the beneficiary list, the payment will not be released until it is complete. Prolonged non-compliance can lead to removal from the list entirely.

If your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar, you can complete e-KYC online:

  1. Visit the Krushak Odisha or CM Kisan portal.
  2. Click the “e-KYC” option.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number.
  4. An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
  5. Enter the OTP to complete verification .

If no mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar, you will need to visit a Common Service Centre (CSC) or your Block Agriculture Office for biometric e-KYC. This is generally provided free of cost.

Common Payment Problems and What They Mean

When a Kalia Yojana status check shows a problem, it usually falls into one of a few familiar categories. Knowing the likely cause can save you multiple trips to the block office.

SymptomMost Likely CauseFirst Action
Name not in beneficiary listNot enrolled, or data entry errorVisit block agriculture office with Aadhaar and land records
Name in list but no paymente-KYC pending, or instalment not yet dueComplete e-KYC; check the instalment calendar
Payment released but bank shows no creditAadhaar not seeded, or NPCI mapping wrongCheck seeding at dbtbharat.gov.in; re-seed at bank
Payment failed — name mismatchName in Aadhaar differs from bank recordsCorrect the name at bank or update Aadhaar
Account dormant or frozenBank account inactive for 12+ monthsVisit branch with KYC documents to reactivate

The most frustrating case is the one described at the start of this article: the portal says “Released,” but the bank says nothing. This almost always traces back to Aadhaar seeding or the NPCI mapper pointing to a different bank than the one you now use. Check your Aadhaar-bank linking status at dbtbharat.gov.in. If it shows the wrong bank, visit your current branch and ask them to re-seed your Aadhaar.

Documents to Carry for Verification or Corrections

If you need to visit a block agriculture office, a CSC, or your bank, carrying the right papers makes the visit shorter. Requirements vary by case, but farmers are commonly asked for:

  • Aadhaar Card — for identity verification and e-KYC status .
  • Bank Passbook — first page showing account number, IFSC code, and name. Confirm it is a savings account, not a Jan Dhan or loan account .
  • Land Records — Patta or land record extracts, if you are a landholding farmer .
  • Residence Proof — a ration card or similar document confirming Odisha residency .
  • Farmer ID / KALIA ID — if you have one from the earlier scheme, it helps officials locate your records faster .

Frequently Asked Questions

Is KALIA Yojana still running in Odisha?

The scheme continues, but under the name CM Kisan Yojana. The old KALIA payment amounts have been replaced, and the old portals are no longer the active platforms for current payments .

How much does a small farmer receive now?

Under CM Kisan, small and marginal farmers typically receive ₹4,000 per year in two instalments of ₹2,000 each, usually paid around Akshaya Tritiya and Nuakhai .

What does a landless agricultural household receive?

Landless agricultural households generally receive ₹12,500 per year in three instalments, intended to support allied activities such as goat rearing, fishery, or dairy .

My name is on the list but the money has not come. What now?

Check whether your e-KYC is complete on the portal. If it is, verify your bank account and Aadhaar seeding. If the problem persists, contact your panchayat nodal officer or block agriculture office with your Aadhaar card and bank passbook .

Can a farmer receive both CM Kisan and PM Kisan benefits?

Yes, if eligible and verified on both lists. The two schemes run on separate records, and combined support for a small farmer can reach close to ₹10,000 per year .

Can I check my status without using the portal?

Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or Gram Panchayat office, where an operator can look up your beneficiary status using your Aadhaar number. Some district agriculture offices also run a counter service for this .

One Last Thing

If your status still shows “Pending” or “Not Found” after completing e-KYC and correcting your bank seeding, wait one full instalment cycle before re-checking. Mid-cycle corrections often do not reflect until the next disbursement window. And if a payment remains stuck after that, escalate in writing to your Block Agriculture Officer rather than relying on phone follow-ups—a dated application with your Aadhaar and passbook copies creates a record you can reference later.
