Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) is NADRA’s biometric identity verification — mandatory for all Pakistan government scheme registrations. Complete step-by-step guide for BISP, Kisan Card, and all other schemes.
eKYC is how Pakistan government verifies your identity electronically before giving you any scheme benefit.
Your fingerprint is scanned and matched against the NADRA national database — the same database used for your CNIC. This confirms you are who you say you are.
eKYC ensures that payments go only to genuine registered beneficiaries. It eliminates fake registrations, duplicate accounts, and middlemen stealing benefits.
After successful eKYC, your CNIC is linked to your Easypaisa, JazzCash, or bank account — ensuring future payments are received automatically without visiting any office.
The biometric eKYC process is quick. Bring your original CNIC, place your finger on the scanner, and verification is done within seconds via NADRA’s real-time system.
Without completing biometric eKYC, you cannot receive payments from any of these programs — even if you are fully eligible and registered.
Follow these steps to successfully complete your biometric eKYC at any NADRA facilitation center.
Bring your original, unexpired CNIC. Do not bring a photocopy. Also bring your registered mobile number and any scheme-specific documents (Fard for Kisan, employment letter for Mazdoor).
Visit a NADRA facilitation center, tehsil office, BISP payment point (Easypaisa/HBL), or district agriculture office depending on which scheme you are registering for.
The staff member scans your CNIC barcode or enters your CNIC number into the eKYC system. Your basic information appears on screen for verification. Confirm all details are correct.
Place your right thumb on the fingerprint scanner. The system compares your print with NADRA database in real-time. If successful, a green confirmation appears on screen.
After biometric success, your mobile number or bank account is linked to your scheme profile. This is the account where future payments will be automatically sent.
You receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number within 24 hours. Keep this SMS as proof. Your first payment will arrive within 7–30 working days depending on the scheme.
eKYC can be completed at multiple locations depending on your scheme.

BISP OnlyAuthorized Easypaisa and JazzCash agent shops can perform BISP biometric verification in most urban areas. Look for the BISP-authorized sticker on the shop window.
BISP PaymentsFor Kisan Card eKYC specifically. Visit your district’s Agriculture Department office with original CNIC and land record (Fard). No appointment needed.
Kisan Card OnlyMany tehsil government offices have been designated as eKYC facilitation camps. These are especially useful for rural applicants who cannot travel to city NADRA centers.
All SchemesSelected post offices in rural and semi-urban areas have eKYC terminals for BISP. Pakistan Post also processes BISP payments for enrolled beneficiaries.
BISP + RuralFollow these tips to ensure your eKYC is completed successfully on the first visit.
Always bring your original, valid, unexpired CNIC. Photocopies, scans, or expired CNICs will not be accepted for eKYC.
eKYC is completely free. Never pay any agent, middleman, or private person claiming to complete your eKYC. Report fraud to NADRA helpline 0800-20022.
Wash and dry your hands before biometric scan. Dirty, oily, or wet fingers cause fingerprint scan failures. Elderly people should rub fingers gently to improve scan quality.
eKYC requires YOUR physical presence and YOUR fingerprints. No one else can complete it on your behalf. Even family members cannot substitute for you.
When your CNIC is scanned, verify your name, father’s name, date of birth, and address on screen before fingerprint scan. Report errors to staff immediately.
Fingerprint failures are common — especially for elderly and manual laborers. Request a manual override from the officer. You can also try other fingers. This is a known issue.
