PM Laptop Scheme is only for students enrolled in HEC-recognized public sector universities. Private university students and students with backlogs are not eligible.
Your cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0 out of 4.0 at the time of application. Students in their first semester may be assessed on intermediate/matric marks.
For need-based scholarships, combined household monthly income must not exceed Rs. 45,000. Income certificates from a gazetted officer are required.
Children receiving Ehsaas Taleemi Wazaif must maintain at least 70% school attendance every month. Payment is conditional on attendance verification by school staff.
All student schemes are exclusively for Pakistani citizens with valid CNIC (or Form-B for under-18). Overseas Pakistani students may apply for specific HEC programs.

Confirm your university is HEC-recognized and public sector. Check the official HEC list at hec.gov.pk. Private universities are not included in this scheme.
Ensure your cumulative CGPA is at least 3.0 as per latest transcript. Get an official transcript from your university registrar before applying.
Applications are submitted through your university’s internal laptop scheme portal — NOT directly to HEC. Contact your university IT department or student affairs office.
Your university prepares a merit list based on CGPA and allocates laptops from their quota. Shortlisted students receive SMS/email notification.
Attend the laptop distribution ceremony at your university. Bring original CNIC and enrollment card. Sign the official receipt form to confirm delivery.
